Corrections and catalog requests
The catalog is curated by hand, so this is the most useful mail I get. Two things make a correction quick to act on:
- For a wrong rating: the artist, the song, and what you think is off about it. "This is rated above the single from the same album" is more actionable than "this is too low", because the pipeline can be checked against that directly.
- For a missing artist or album: the artist and the specific release. Reissues, deluxe editions, and live albums complicate the underlying data, so naming the edition you mean genuinely helps.
Genuine errors get fixed and the catalog is rebuilt. Not every request can be taken: some albums have data too patchy to rate honestly, and some ratings are working exactly as intended even when they read oddly. Notes from the rating pipeline explains several of the cases that look like bugs and are not.
Everything else
- Bugs: what happened, what you expected, and your browser and device. A screenshot of the result screen is ideal.
- Rights and takedowns: mail the address above and identify the material. #1 Debut hosts no audio, and album metadata and art are used for commentary and play.
- Press, partnerships, and advertising: same address, and say which one in the subject line.
