The service

#1 Debut is a free, fan-made browser game. You spin a curated pool of albums, pick songs, and receive an in-game projected chart debut. No account is required. Challenge links let friends replay the same album draw. Optional advertising helps fund the project; gameplay is never paywalled.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding agreement where you live. If you are under the age of digital consent in your region, use the site only with a parent or guardian's permission.

Fan project and intellectual property

#1 Debut is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any artist, label, distributor, streaming service, or chart company. Album titles, artist names, cover art, and related marks belong to their respective owners and appear here for commentary, identification, and gameplay only.

The game software, original copy, layout, and scoring presentation are provided by the site operator. You may not copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the site or its dataset in bulk without prior written permission.

Acceptable use

You may play for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You agree not to:

• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service
• Use automated tools to harvest content at scale
• Misrepresent the game as an official chart, label tool, or artist product
• Use challenge links or shared results to harass others

Scores and data

Ratings, projected positions, and related stats are game mechanics. They are not official charts, sales figures, or statements of artistic merit. Data is curated from public popularity and acclaim signals for play and commentary. Results may change when the pool or scoring rules are updated.

Privacy

How progress and optional analytics are handled is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free scoring, or that the catalog will remain unchanged.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. If liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to use the site in the prior twelve months (currently zero) or (b) twenty-five U.S. dollars.

Changes

We may update these terms, the game rules, or the catalog. Continued use after a posted update means you accept the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we revise this page.
